Team China Glory Cycling is now part of the Movement for a Credible Cycling (MPCC). “This is an important step in the development of our team,” team manager Maarten Tjallingii says.
The MPCC is an association aiming at defending clean cycling. Transparency, responsibility and our members’ engagement are the pillars of its identity. MPCC is also a whistleblower on corticosteroids, tramadol, stilnox and mechanical doping. China Glory Cycling shares these norms and values, and is therefore happy to be part of the association from now on.
Team director Amaël Moinard: “Team China Glory Cycling (CGS) was created at the beginning of 2022, and is competing this season on the continental circuit. The genesis of this project is to allow the best Chinese riders to participate in the next Olympic Games in Paris in 2024, and to compete on the European continent.”
He continues: “Supported by the Chinese governmental and sporting authorities (TEAM CHINA), this team's ambition is to grow in the coming years, by working together with international riders and staff. Our desire to build this project around clearly established ethical rules within our organization naturally leads us to join the ‘Mouvement Pour un Cycliste Crédible.’”
Maarten Tjallingii, the team’s manager adds: “The decision to join the MPCC is an important step in our development. We feel connected to the norms and values of the MPCC and we want to keep that philosophy in the future.”
Since 2007, teams can join MPCC. Since 2018, riders, staff members and organizers can become members of the movement as well. China Glory Cycling’s riders and staff will also join the MPCC individually.
